Homer E. Borden

A veteran real estate broker, Homer has been a leading realtor in the Jackson, Mississippi, market for over 45 years.  His extensive experience covers all phases of the industry with emphasis in property management, construction, residential sales and leasing, commerical sales and leasing, marketing and administration.  He has been a principal or served as managing broker in four significant real estate firms in this market.  Prior to Joining Maurice H.Joseph, Inc., as Vice President in sales and leasing, Homer was associated with Underwood Commercial Real Estate, marketing properties in the Lakeover Office and Business Park, and prior to that he was associated with H. C. Bailey Realty Company - Commercial Division.

Knowledgeable and well respected by his peers, Homer has held a number of leadership roles in the industry related professional organizations including three terms as Director for the Jackson Board of Realtors, President of the Multiple Listing Service, and President of the Jackson-Vicksburg Broker Council.  He has served two three-year terms on the Jackson Board of Realtors Professional Standards Committee.  He was chosen to serve as the first Chairman of the Jackson Board of Realtors Commercial Investment committee in 1992.  Homer was a member of the first graduating class of the Realtors Institue.

After completing a tour of duty with the United States Marine Corps, Homer attended Mississippi State University and Mississippi College with a focus on business and marketing.  Homer is a native of Jackson, Mississippi and has a vital interest in the growth of the City.  He and wife Bonnie reside in Jackson, MS.
